Start Planning Today

Due to pent-up demand and trip rescheduling far into 2021, we highly suggest starting as soon as possible for planning your trip to Africa. Give us a call or fill out the form below! There’s no pressure, no cost, no commitments – and you’ll always talk to one of our safari experts.

Day One: Depart Home

Depart from your international airport and begin your adventure to Africa.

Day Two: Arrive in Nairobi

Following your flight, the Odyssey Safari staff will greet you at the airport and load your bags for transport to the Safari Park Hotel. Once you are settled in, you may select an optional activity or simply relax at the hotel for the trip ahead. Some of the possible optional activities include the Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage, Karen Blixen Museum, or the Langata Giraffe Center.

Day Three: Nairobi – Ol Pejeta Private Game Reserve

After breakfast, our adventures in the bush begin as we make our way to the spectacular Sweetwaters Tented Camp in the secluded heart of Ol Pejeta Ranch and Rhino Reserve. After your evening game drive, you will enhance your safari experience with a night game drive. This opportunity is not available in most wildlife conservancies, so wrap up warm and let loose that intrepid explorer inside you.

Day Four: Exploring Ol Pejeta

Today we continue our exploration of this wonderful reserve with morning and evening game drives in Ol Pejeta Sweetwaters Conservancy. We also will be visiting the Rhino Sanctuary and Chimp Sanctuary, two experiences that you can’t find anywhere else in the world.

Day Five: Ol Pejeta – Lake Naivasha

Today we start our day with a morning game drive before heading back to the lodge for a full breakfast. After, check out and depart to make our way to Lake Naivasha. We arrive in time for lunch at our lodge by the lake and in the early afternoon, there is an optional boat ride should you be interested in viewing the wildlife from a different perspective.

Day Six: Lake Naivasha – Masai Mara National Reserve

This morning we will drive through the dramatic Great Rift Valley to the Masai Mara National Reserve. This enormous reserve is actually part of the vast Serengeti plains, famously known for its spectacular great wildebeest migration and is also the home of the Big Five: lion, elephant, leopard, buffalo, and rhino.

Day Seven & Eight: Exploring The Masai Mara

The search for great predators and perhaps even cubs continues over the next two days during extensive game runs. On the plains are enormous herds of grazing animals plus the elusive cheetah and leopard hiding amidst acacia boughs.

Day Nine: Masai Mara – Nairobi – International Flight

Enjoy an early breakfast at the camp, checkout, and conduct a game drive en-route with an optional opportunity to visit a village of the Maasai people. We will transfer you from Nairobi to the airport for your international flight.

Day Ten: Arrive Home

Today you arrive back at your home airport. Thank you for joining us for the trip of a lifetime in Africa. We know how precious experiences away from the everyday are, and we hope you made lasting memories on your safari.

Nairobi: Safari Park Hotel

Safari Park Hotel is a luxury accommodation surrounded by 50 acres of beautifully manicured gardens, located 15 minutes from the Nairobi City Centre and promising an oasis of calmness and serenity.

Ol Pejeta: Sweetwaters Tented Camp

Embrace the awe-inspiring natural beauty of your surroundings, and set the stage for a visit you won’t soon forget. Located within the sprawling Ol Pejeta Conservancy, one of Kenya’s most noteworthy conservancies and home to the ‘Big Five’ (elephant, rhino, lion, buffalo and leopard), Sweetwaters Serena Camp offers an experience unlike any other.

Lake Naivasha: Sopa Lodge

Lake Naivasha Sopa Lodge is located on 150 acres of grassland on the shores of Lake Naivasha. The lodge is not only home to a resident giraffe, waterbuck and Vervet and Colobus monkeys, but it is also a stop for the hippos at night.

Masai Mara: Ashnil Tented Camp

Ashnil Mara Camp, with 50 luxury tents, is located in the Masai Mara National Reserve and close to the Mara River, famous for the wildebeest migration. This camp is arguably in one of the very best positions in the Masai Mara for game viewing and also provides the perfect setting to sit and relax at the end of an exciting day of game drives.

Evening Game Drive: The plains come alive at night, with nocturnal animals such as aardvark, white-tailed mongoose, zorilla (striped polecat), bat-eared fox and perhaps even lions and leopard. This nighttime adventure is very special as it’s not possible in most of Kenya’s national parks and reserves.

Rhino Sanctuary Visit: The two remaining white rhinos now live in the 700-acre rhino enclosure. Here, visitors have a once in a lifetime opportunity to meet these remarkable rhino up close and personal and to hear their amazing story from the keepers that look after them 24/7.

Chimp Sanctuary: Chimpanzees are not indigenous to Kenya and Sweetwaters Chimpanzee Sanctuary is the only place to see them in Kenya. Get exclusive access and see the chimpanzees during their feeding time and as they engage in enrichment activities within their enclosures.

International Airfare: Airfare is based out of NYC (JFK). Non-NYC departures are subject to an additional charge upon confirmation.

Depart When You Want: Since our journeys are exclusive to the travelers in your party, you may begin your trip on any day — at your convenience, so long as your flights and hotels are available.

Exclusive Vehicle & Guide: Travel with the only people you know in the comfort of your own luxury vehicle accompanied by a personal wildlife guide. After all, it’s an important trip. Why not make it your very own journey!
