Day One: Arrive into Entebbe, Uganda

Upon arrival into Entebbe, you will be met by an Odyssey Safaris representative and transferred to the Serena Lake Victoria Lodge to stay for one night on a B&B basis.

Destination: Entebbe, Uganda

On the shores of gorgeous Lake Victoria, Entebbe is an attractive, verdant town that served as the capital city during the early years of the British protectorate. Today it’s the relaxed pace of life and nearby natural attractions that give the city its charm rather than any notable colonial relics.

Overnight: Serena Lake Victoria Lodge

Lake Victoria Serena Golf Resort & Spa is a vision of charming Mediterranean architecture, pastel colour palettes and lush, green fairways overlooking the sparkling waters of Africa’s largest lake. With its terraced rose gardens, rustic bridges, arched pool terrace and shaded colonnades, this privileged enclave feels more like a Tuscan hillside village than a five-star golf resort and spa on the outskirts of Kampala.

Day Two: Drive to Kibale National Park

After breakfast, you will be transferred by road to Kibale National Park. On route, you will pass tea plantations and beautiful scenery. You will continue and, on the way, stop in Fort Portal. In the afternoon you will arrive at Ndali Lodge to stay for one night on a full board basis.

Destination: Kibale National Park, Uganda

Kibale National Park (formerly Kibale Forest NP) is the best place for chimpanzee trekking in Uganda. Thirteen species of primates have been recorded, which is the highest number for any Ugandan park, and several monkey species can usually be seen on forest walks. Birds and butterflies are abundant.

Overnight: Ndali Lodge

Ndali Lodge is a fantastic traditional colonial lodge set in the stunning crater region of Western Uganda. Built of local stone and thatch, the 8 luxury bandas offer views over the dramatic Rwenzori Mountains; each banda is en-suite with a private veranda. The dining room and lounge offer relaxing views over the crater lake below.

Day Three: Chimpanzee Trekking and then Queen Elizabeth National Park

After breakfast you will go for Chimp tracking and enjoy a wonderful forest experience. Kibale’s 795km2 National Park contains one of the most beautiful and varying tracts of tropical forest in the whole of Uganda. This is home to 13 species of primate including chimpanzees. The park’s highest point is at 1590m above sea level. After lunch you shall proceed to Queen Elisabeth National Park, enjoy a game drive on your way in. Named after her Majesty the Queen of England, it is Uganda’s most popular and most scenic game reserves. It stretches from the crater-dotted foothills of the Rwenzori range in the north, along the shores of Lake Edward to the remote Ishasha River in the south, incorporating a wide variety of habitats that range from savanna and wetlands and lowland forest. Overnight in Kyambura Gorge Lodge to stay for 2 nights on a full board basis including game viewing activities.

Destination: Queen Elizabeth National Park

Queen Elizabeth National Park is Uganda’s most popular savannah reserve and has the widest variety of wildlife of any Ugandan park. The variety of habitats includes grassland savannah, forests, wetlands and lakes. This provides the setting for an extensive range of large mammals and primates. Four of the Big five are present (rhino are absent) and chimp tracking is available.

Overnight: Kyambura Gorge Lodge

Set between the Kyambura Gorge and Queen Elizabeth National Park, Kyambura Gorge Safari Lodge boasts eight beautiful and spacious bandas nestled on the hillside, each with its own bathroom. Warm and welcoming, each banda overlooks a different aspect of the panoramic views across the gorge and the lush savannah of the National Park, stretching all the way to the Rwenzori Mountains.

Day Four: Exploring Queen Elizabeth National Park

Have an Early Morning Game Drive. There are over 100 mammal species that include Lions, Hippos, Buffaloes, Leopard, Spotted Hyena, Elephants and the elusive Giant Forest Hog in this park. The Primates include Chimps, Black and White Colobus monkeys, Blue, Black faced Red Colobus, and Red tailed monkeys and Olive Baboons. Return to the Lodge. In the afternoon, you shall have a boat ride on Kazinga Channel. Queen Elizabeth boasts one of the highest bio diversity ratings of any game park, from the open Savannah to Rain Forest, dense Papyrus Swamps. Overnight in Kyambura Gorge Lodge to stay for 2 nights on a full board basis including game viewing activities.

Depart for Bwindi National park in the Morning on your way; you will have a chance to have a game drive in Ishasha sector where the tree climbing lions are found, then continue to the home of the Mountain Gorillas, Bwindi National Park. Of Uganda’s Forested Parks, Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is best known For gorilla tracking, but it also provides refuge to elephants, chimpanzees, monkeys and various small antelopes, as well as 23 bird species restricted to the Albertine. Overnight in Sanctuary Gorilla Forest Camp on a full board basis including all game viewing activities.

Bwindi Impenetrable National Park lies in southwestern Uganda on the edge of the Rift Valley. Its mist-covered hillsides are blanketed by one of Uganda’s oldest and most biologically diverse rainforests, which dates back over 25,000 years and contains almost 400 species of plants. More famously, this “impenetrable forest” also protects an estimated 400 mountain gorillas – roughly half of the world’s population, including several habituated groups, which can be tracked.

Day Six: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi National Park

This morning you will get up very early for gorilla trekking. Trekking the Mountain Gorilla is one of the most exciting wildlife experiences on earth. The trek will take between 2 and 6 hours, but is well worth the effort. You will be led by an experienced ranger who will tell you interesting facts about flora and fauna and the lifestyle of the Gorillas. Overnight in Sanctuary Gorilla Forest Camp on a full board basis. Day Seven: Head Back To Entebbe

After an early breakfast, you will be transferred to Kihihi Airstrip for your flight back to Entebbe. Afterwards you may choose between optional Activities; – drive to the Airport or have a city Tour of Entebbe Town, Visit Ngamba Island, Botanical Gardens, a Fishing Village, Mabamba Swamp. You may choose to opt for a day use room in a Hotel.
