Explore 32,000 acres of unspoiled wilderness on this eight day adventure as you ride amongst great herds of game in the shadows of the snow-capped peaks of Mt Kenya. Borana Conservancy is dedicated to the sustainable conservation of land and wildlife. Your stay here will act as a direct contribution to safeguarding the future of endangered wildlife in Kenya. Day One: Arrival Into Nairobi

Arrive at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) – transfer to Borana. This will either be via private charter or on the scheduled flight to Lewa Downs. Get introduced to your noble stead and head out for your first evening ride. Overnight at Borana Lodge.

    Day Two: Exploring Borana

    Wake up on a glorious African morning and the birds singing. Ride out of the stables with a picnic breakfast packed in your saddlebags, ready for the day’s adventures. Spend a relaxed lunch and afternoon back at the Lodge. In the afternoon, enjoy a game drive or walk on Borana. Overnight Borana Lodge.

    Day Three: Borana – Ngare Ndare River

    Leave after breakfast and ride east through Borana down to the Ngare Ndare River. Overnight fly camp under the stars.

    Day Four: Lewa Wildlife Conservancy

    Ride through the famous Lewa Wildlife Conservancy with an opportunity to see rhino from horse back. Saddle bag lunch en route to Kisima – the family home of the Dyers. Long riding day. Overnight Kisima.

    Day Five: Kisima – Lake Rotundu

    Leave Kisima early after breakfast and ride up onto the moorland. Picnic lunch on the mountain, riding in to the log cabins at Lake Rotundu. Overnight at Rotundu.

    Day Six: Exploring Lake Rotundu

    Try your luck fishing at Lake Alice. Another lovely ride over the moorland. Overnight at Rotundu.

    Day Seven: Exploring The Masai Mara National Reserve

    Wake up to the sights and sounds of one of the world’s premier wildlife destinations at 6:45 a.m. and head to breakfast at 7 a.m. After breakfast, we will load up around 7:30 a.m. – 8:00 a.m. and depart camp for a full day game drive in search for hungry predators.

    On board of one of our specially designed and equipped 4×4 safari vehicles, you will explore the wilderness of the Masai Mara and its African wildlife. The plains are enormous herds of grazing animals plus the elusive cheetah and leopard hiding amidst acacia boughs.

    In the Masai Mara Reserve live 95 species of mammals and 570 species of birds; an impressive number, making this area an unique destination for wildlife safaris.

    Once we are done exploring the reserve, we will make our way back to camp around 6:45 p.m. where you will enjoy dinner and have your overnight.

    Day Eight: Masai Mara National Reserve – Nairobi – International Flight Home

    Wake up 6:00 a.m. and enjoy an early breakfast at the camp around 6:30 a.m. before checking out and leaving the camp around 7:00 – 7:15 a.m. En-route to Nairobi, enjoy an additional game drive soaking in the last of the African bush and the surrounding exhilarating wildlife.

    We will make our way to a scenic stop at the edge of the Great Rift Valley to enjoy lunch before arriving Nairobi between 4 and 7 p.m. Upon arrival, we will transfer you from Nairobi to the airport for your international flight back home.
