Day One: Charter Flight Transfer From Maun Airport To Okavango

Arrival at Pom Pom Camp. This private concession in the heart of the Okavango Delta is located on the fringes of the Pom Pom River, filled with reeds, water lilies and lurking hippos. The scenic landscape is dotted with small islands of acacia woodlands and offers great bird watching and a variety of wildlife. Zebra, giraffe, lion, elephant and buffalo are all likely to be encountered while white rhino also occasionally make an appearance. Relaxed accommodation puts you in luxury tented rooms, all on raised platforms to make the most of the mesmerising lagoon views and African sunsets, while open-air showers are accompanied by fluffy towels and ambient lighting. The camp offers open 4×4 guided game drives as well as mokoro excursions along the lagoon and Delta channels, as well as fishing. Arrival at Moremi Crossing. Prepare to explore the game-rich floodplains of the Moremi Game Reserve and retire at night to luxury tented accommodation featuring fabulous outdoor showers and private decks overlooking the predator-filled Chief’s Island. This game reserve protects the core of the Okavango Delta and is regarded as one of the most prestigious game viewing areas in Africa. Within the reserve, Chief’s Island boasts one of the richest and most diverse ecosystems on the continent, making for spectacular game viewing and colourful and diverse birdlife. The reserve is a Big Five destination and includes all the major naturally occurring herbivore and carnivore species in the region. Here you can survey the area on a sunset game viewing cruise, hop aboard a mokoro (a traditional canoe) for a thrilling wildlife excursion or take a guided bush walk for a personal encounter with nature.

The only proclaimed wildlife reserve in the Okavango Delta, Moremi Game Reserve (and its spectacular Khwai area) is also widely regarded as the most beautiful. Day Five/Six: Moremi Game Reserve – Kalahari Game Reserve

Arrival at Tau Pan. Renowned for its pristine wilderness, this lodge is one of only two located within the Central Kalahari Game Reserve. The reserve is one of the largest in the world and is home to vast numbers of wildlife such as springbok, gemsbok and migrating zebra and wildebeest that congregate in their thousands on the pans after the rains. This plethora of plains game in turn attracts predators, including cheetah, Kalahari black-maned lion and black-backed jackals. The nine chalets overlook a permanent watering hole and the main area at the lodge is completely open on one side, offering stunning 180 degree vistas of the landscape. The camp is 100% solar powered and the rooms are environmentally adapted to maintain a comfortable temperature all year round. Activities at Tau Pan include morning and afternoon game drives, nature walks and day trips to Deception Valley and the Sunday, Piper and Passarge pans on request.

The area offers prolific wildlife viewing and large herds of elephant abound, as do birds, hippo and crocodile. Be prepared for fantastic photo opportunities during your safari. The lodge is surrounded by a picturesque garden and swimming pool and while all rooms have beautiful views of the river. Activities on offer include morning and afternoon game drives through the Chobe National Park and boat cruises on the Chobe River. Fishing trips and day excursions to the nearby Victoria Falls can also be arranged.

Botswana’s famous Chobe National Park is a must-see wildlife destination that includes the Savute Channel and natural beauty of the Linyanti River. Overnight: Chobe River Lodge

Chobe Safari Lodge is situated in Kasane on the banks of the Chobe River and shares a border with Chobe National Park. It is the oldest lodge in Chobe and was established in 1959. Right on our doorstep is the meeting of four African countries: Botswana, Namibia, Zimbabwe and Zambia. Chobe Safari Lodge therefore offers an excellent getaway location to Chobe, Victoria Falls or Caprivi.

Day Nine: End Of Services

Wake up and have breakfast before partaking in one last morning activity at the camp. From here, either connect back to your international airport or add an additional country to your itinerary.
