Details & Itinerary

Embark on an iconic six day fly-in safari where you can explore two of Kenya’s most exclusive national parks, Amboseli National Park and the Masai Mara National Reserve. Your journey begins in Amboseli for three nights as you encounter the last of the big ‘tusker’ elephants. After, take to the skies as you make your way into the Masai Mara where you’ll enjoy superb game viewing along the banks of the Mara River.

Days: Eight

Countries: Kenya

Departures: Daily

Day One: Depart Home

Catch your overnight flight from your departing airport to Nairobi International.

Day Two – Four: Nairobi – Amboseli National Park

Upon arrival at Nairobi International Airport you will be met by an Odyssey Safaris representative who will transfer you to Wilson Airport where you will be assisted onto your lights aircraft flight to the Amboseli & Chyulu Hills. On arrival, you will be met and transferred to Tortilis Camp.

The next three days will be spent exploring one of Africa’s most majestic parks where you will be in the shadows of Africa’s highest mountain, Kilimanjaro. Here you can enjoy game drives, walks, sundowners and bush meals that take place both inside the national park and in the conservancy.

With only 10% of Amboseli National Park utilized by most safari vehicles, combined with Tortilis Camp’s unique location on the western edge of the park (most lodges are outside of the eastern gate of the park), guests can enjoy an almost private experience in Amboseli National Park.

Day Five – Seven: Amboseli National Park – Masai Mara National Reserve

Today you will be transferred back to the airstrip for your onward flight to the Masai Mara via Nairobi. Upon arrival, you will be met by an Odyssey Safaris representative and make your way to Sand River Masai Mara Camp. Situated on a secluded and picturesque site, Sand River Masai Mara replicates the heyday of exclusive permanent tented camps of the late 1920’s.

Sand River Masai Mara offers exceptional game-viewing year-round where you can encounter large concentrations of big cats, such as leopard, cheetah and, of course, lion. Replicating the atmosphere of the inconic tented camps of the late 1920’s, you can’t help but fall in love with the increased sense of exclusivity and privacy it offers.

Day Eight: Masai Mara – Nairobi – International Flight Home

After breakfast you will be transferred back to the airstrip where you will take the return light aircraft flight to Wilson airport. On arrival you will be met and transferred to Nairobi International airport for your international flight home.
