Day One: Depart Home

Embark on your overnight flight from your international airport and make your way into Cape Town International Airport.

A coming-together of cultures, cuisines and landscapes, there’s nowhere quite like Cape Town, a singularly beautiful city crowned by the magnificent Table Mountain National Park. From jaw-dropping scenery to centuries-old architecture mingling with minimalist modern design, this scenic South African beauty encompasses it all. Its buzzing harbor and streets house nightlife and storefronts, and its beaches and mountainous surroundings are bursting with flora and fauna.

Overnight: The Clarendon Fresnaye

The Clarendon holds a rich history having once been owned by the Earl of Clarendon, the Governor of The Cape. Cradled along the slopes of Lions Head, in the idyllic suburb of Fresnaye, it caters to families, honeymooners and the exclusive traveler who wants to enjoy the best of Cape Town. A wonderful oasis of rich green lawns and sparkling swimming pools, set in a tranquil paradise against the backdrop of a mass of pink bougainvillea.

Day Two: Arrival & Exploring Cape Town

Upon arrival at Cape Town International you will be met by a member of the Odyssey Safaris team who will transfer you by road to the The Clarendon Fresnaye. Situated along the slopes of Lions Head, here you will find exhilarating views of the wrapping indigo ocean along South Africa’s most beautiful coast. Spend your next few days exploring everything Cape Town has to offer. This iconic city is a combination of history, cultural vibrancy and stunning scenic views. From reaching the top of Table Mountain to diving with great white sharks of the coast, Cape Town is full of exciting experiences for everyone.

Day Six – Eight: Cape Town – Panorama Route

Today you will drive back to Cape Town International Airport where you will connect with your flight to Kruger Mpumalanga Airport. On arrival you will be met and transferred to Hippo Hollow Country Estate located in the Panorama Route. This family-friendly hotel is situated on the banks of the Sabie River and provides an easy acess into Kruger National Park. Not only will you find three onsite restaurants as well as beautiful lush gardens but also a wide variety of acitivities that are perfect for all members of the family. Some activity highlights include Blyde River Canyon tours, cultural experiences at Shangaan River Club and encounters with Africa’s largest land mammals at Elephant Whispers.

Destination: Panorama Route, South Africa

Centred around the Blyde River Canyon, the world’s third largest canyon, the Panorama Route offers a dramatic terrain of lush mountain peaks scarred with ochre cliff faces. Dozens of magnificent waterfalls, raging rivers and one of the largest afforested areas in South Africa.

Overnight: Hippo Hollow Country Estate

Situated just outside of Hazyview, between the Drakensberg Mountains to the west and the low-lying bushveld of the Greater Kruger Area to the east, Hippo Hollow is a wonderful base from which to explore the Mpumalanga Lowveld. A myriad of activities await you; from ‘Big 5’ safaris to helicopter adventures and more.

Day Nine – Twelve: Panorama Route – Timbavati Private Nature Reserve

Today you will be met by your private driver who will transfer you by road to the Timbavati Private Game Reserve, bordering the Kruger Park and check into Kambaku Safari Lodge. Known for its natural splendor, this private game reserve boasts a wide swathe of bush and high density of wildlife – including the Big Five, over 350 bird species and the rare white lion. Kambaku was designed as a family friendly lodge that creates unforgetable experiences within the African bush. In this private oasis it’s easy to spot wild dogs, hippos, hyena among many other majestic wildlife. Here it’s all about bringing people together to have a memorable adventure during your stay in South Africa.

Destination: Timbavati Game Reserve

Timbavati Game Reserve is home to one of nature’s most magnificent creatures, the white lion. Ancient folklore tells of a time when the local Shangaan tribe saw a bright light streaking across the sky and crash on the African savannah. Shortly thereafter the lions of Timbavati began giving birth to snow white cubs. These unique lions have been regarded as sacred ever since.

 

Overnight: Kambaku Safari Lodge

One thing is certain: the unfenced Kambaku Safari Lodge will give you an incredibly intimate safari experience. And an environmentally conscious one: the lodge relies completely on solar power for electricity. Accommodations are designed so they blend in with the surrounding bush. The family-friendly lodge is located in the heart of Timbavati Game Reserve, which shares the unfenced western border of the Greater Kruger National Park.

Day Thirteen: Kruger – Hoedspruit – International Flight Home

Today you will be met by your private driver who will transfer you by road to Hoedspruit Airport where you will connect with your onward flight home.
