Kenya’s landscapes are teeming with animals of all spots and stripes, from speedy cheetahs to majestic herds of zebras. On this award-winning group tour, you’ll see them all in some of the Kenya’s most spectacular settings. Travel from the shadows of Mount Kilimanjaro to the wild expanses of the Masai Mara to witness the drama of the bush unfolding around you.

Day One: Arrival Into Nairobi

Following your flight, the Odyssey Safari staff will greet you at the airport and load your bags for transport to the Safari Park Hotel. Upon arrival there will be a short briefing at the front office about the hotel and what is included on the first night.

Your driver will mention on the timing on the morning of the second day, breakfast, checkout and what time to meet at the lobby for the tour debriefing. Some of the possible optional activities include:

  • Karen Blixen Museum
  • Downtown Nairobi Tour
  • Langata Giraffe Center

Day Two: Nairobi – Amboseli National Park

At 7:30 a.m. you will meet our team in the lobby for a tour briefing and introduction to our team. After, we will load up and make our way to the spectacular Amboseli National Park arriving around 1 p.m. for check in at Amboseli Sopa Lodge.

Romantically situated in the foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro, Amboseli is famous for its tremendous variety of big game. After lunch, our adventure begins with an exciting game drive within the park at 3 p.m.

You’ll have good opportunities to see lion, buffalo, impala, cheetah, giraffe, zebra and wildebeest, all in this special park. Perhaps this is why Amboseli is the second most popular park in Kenya, following only the Masai Mara.

Return to camp at 7 p.m. for dinner and your overnight. The adventures continue tomorrow!

Day Three: Exploring Amboseli National Park

The day starts with a 6:45 a.m. wake up time before making your way to breakfast at 7:00 a.m. Following breakfast, we will plan to depart the lodge at 7:30 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. for a full day game drive in this exciting national park.

Here, opportunities for viewing large herds of elephants are endless and nearly every vista within the park is framed by a majestic mountain backdrop.

A stop for lunch at Observation Hill allows for an overall view of the whole park, especially the swamp which hosts many of the unique wildlife that roam within.

After more wildlife encounters, we will make our way back to camp with an optional excursion to visit a local Masai tribe to observe their culture and lifestyle. Enjoy the rest of the evening at leisure including a wonderfully prepared dinner at the lodge.

Day Four: Amboseli National Park – Lake Naivasha National Park

Today our adventures begin at 6 a.m. where you will wake up and pack before making your way to breakfast at 6:30 a.m. Upon finishing your delicious breakfast we will prepare to depart for Lake Naivasha, arriving in time for lunch and check in at Lake Naivasha Sopa Resort.

After lunch, you have the opportunity to either relax at camp or explore the nearby Crescent Island (at additional cost) where shores host abundant birdlife and additional spectacular wildlife.

There are more animals per acre than any other Kenyan Park, including herds of Wildebeest, Waterbuck, Zebra, and Gazelle to name a few. Enjoy the rest of your evening at leisure and prepare for another exciting adventure in the African bush tomorrow! 

Day Five: Exploring Lake Nakuru National Park

Today our adventures begin at 6 a.m. where you will wake up and make your way to breakfast at 6:30 a.m. until 7 a.m. when we pack up and head to Lake Nakuru National Park located in the Great Rift Valley. Once we arrive, set out on a captivating game drive.

The park is renown to be a bird watchers’ paradise due to the numerous and diverse populations of birds, the most famous being the thousands of flamingos.

Stop and enjoy a wonderful picnic lunch at our favorite scenic point that overlooks the entirety of the lake, then continue your search for leopard and rhino.

The game in this park is plentiful and the magnificent bird watching will make a devotee out of even the most reluctant. We will be returning to the lodge between 5 – 6 p.m. where you can enjoy dinner and have the rest of the evening at leisure.

Day Six: Lake Naivasha National Park – Masai Mara National Reserve

This morning we will be waking up at 6:00 a.m. to pack and make our way to breakfast at around 6:30 a.m. We will plan to leave at 7:00 – 7:15 a.m. as we drive through the Great Rift Valley to the Masai Mara which is known for its spectacular great wildebeest migration.

As we make our way to the main gate, take your first glimpses of the vast savannah and wildlife as you are immersed in the wild of Africa. We will arrive at Ashnil Mara Camp around 12:30 – 1:00 p.m. where you will check in and get settled.

After, embark on an exciting afternoon game drive around 3:30 p.m. exploring some of the best of the Masai Mara. Upon return, enjoy the rest of the evening at leisure including enjoying a wonderful array of dinner options before heading to bed. 

Day Seven: Exploring The Masai Mara National Reserve

Wake up to the sights and sounds of one of the world’s premier wildlife destinations at 6:45 a.m. and head to breakfast at 7 a.m. After breakfast, we will load up around 7:30 a.m. – 8:00 a.m. and depart camp for a full day game drive in search for hungry predators.

On board of one of our specially designed and equipped 4×4 safari vehicles, you will explore the wilderness of the Masai Mara and its African wildlife. The plains are enormous herds of grazing animals plus the elusive cheetah and leopard hiding amidst acacia boughs.

In the Masai Mara Reserve live 95 species of mammals and 570 species of birds; an impressive number, making this area an unique destination for wildlife safaris.

Once we are done exploring the reserve, we will make our way back to camp around 6:45 p.m. where you will enjoy dinner and have your overnight.

Day Eight: Masai Mara National Reserve – Nairobi – International Flight Home

Wake up 6:00 a.m. and enjoy an early breakfast at the camp around 6:30 a.m. before checking out and leaving the camp around 7:00 – 7:15 a.m. En-route to Nairobi, enjoy an additional game drive soaking in the last of the African bush and the surrounding exhilarating wildlife.

We will make our way to a scenic stop at the edge of the Great Rift Valley to enjoy lunch before arriving Nairobi between 4 and 7 p.m. Upon arrival, we will transfer you from Nairobi to the airport for your international flight back home.
